Diocese Policy
The Diocese of Nottingham is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and vulnerable adults in every parish, school and ministry under its care. We follow the national framework published by the Catholic Safeguarding Standards Agency (CSSA) and expect every parish to apply these standards consistently.
If you or someone you know has been harmed, or you are worried about the behaviour of a person in a Church role, please speak to the Parish Safeguarding Representative (listed on each parish site) or contact the Diocesan Safeguarding Coordinator directly.
Nottingham Diocesan Safeguarding Office
Any allegation that a child or adult has been harmed, or is at risk of harm, will be referred without delay to the police and to children's or adult's social care services. The Diocese co-operates fully with any statutory investigation.
This policy is reviewed annually by the Diocesan Trustees and updated to reflect guidance issued by the CSSA and the Charity Commission.
The Parish of Holy Family is committed to safeguarding all children, young people, and vulnerable adults. We follow the policies and procedures of the Catholic Safeguarding Standards Agency (CSSA) and the Diocese of Nottingham.
Everyone who participates in the life of our parish has the right to do so in a safe environment. We are committed to creating an environment where all people, especially children and vulnerable adults, are respected and safe from harm.
If you have a safeguarding concern, please contact one of our parish safeguarding representatives listed below, or contact the Diocesan Safeguarding Coordinator.
